Seasons

Seasons are great! Spring is super! Summer is special! Winter is with it! Fall is fun! I think spring is a time to play soccer obviously. And, enjoy the breeze and sun. I usually play outside, and hear the birds chirping. And it's not to cold or hot it's just right. And let's not forget the holiday, Easter! What I like doing on Easter is having a big brunch, and having a treasure hunt and look for eggs and eat all the candy. And in the morning you go downstairs and look in your basket, see the toys/things that the Easter bunny gave you and enjoy the day!  It's very nice! Summer is a time to go to the beach, and swim or make sand castles, and maybe if the ice cream truck comes to the beach or to your house you can get some ice cream, and have a hot day to chill out. In Falmouth I used to go to the beach at 6:00am, and stay until 12:00. The season in summer is the Fourth of July. For the past 2 years I've went to the Heights in Falmouth and go to my cousins other Grandma+ Grandpa's summer house. Last year, my aunt who was there, said do you and Flynn want to sleep over? I said "yes." My dad said "sure." We got to sleep over! And that's what I think for summer. Winter, it's the season that were in. there is snow falling, snow angels on the ground, gingerbread cookies through the window, presents under the Christmas tree, and tree lighting in the center of town. You can jump in snow, you can see the tracings from the snow angels, you can smell the gingerbread cookies through the window, you can open Christmas presents that are under the tree, and last but not least, you can get a good view from the window of Mocha Java to see the tree lighting. That is why I say winter is with it! Fall is the time of year to jump in leaf piles, eat a very scrumptious turkey on Thanksgiving, raking leaves in your backyard, you can watch a Patriots game on a Sunday, and walk on the crunchy leaves when you walk to school. In the fall the holiday is Thanksgiving. It's a time to have friends and family over, and then you can eat turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. And whoever is carving the turkey,  you can ask them for the wishbone so you and your cousin can have it.

  1. Great post Nuala! You are so right, it's great to live in a place where the weather keeps changing and we really experience the four seasons!

  2. I have always loved the four seasons too, Nuala. In fact, one of my favorite books as a child was a Little Golden Book called, "My Book of the Seasons." Do you have a favorite?
